GRACE OF SPADES
From the heart of the city, New York native Grace of Spades’ deep cuts come from years of digging through vinyl crates across the world. While Grace spins everything from soul to punk, reggae is at the core of her collection and Grace’s selections span the best of the genre’s eras and styles.
Grace cut her teeth early on working with the Deadly Dragon crew and later Daptone Records, and has gone on to play for reggae legends such as Ken Boothe, Sister Nancy, and Johnny Osborne. A fixture in New York City’s reggae community, Grace of Spades hosts “Watch This Sound” on the recently revived East Village Radio, which was featured in the New York Times. Grace has also hosted radio shows on BBOX Radio and has been featured on The Lot Radio, WNYU and more.
Today, she holds multiple residencies, hosts beloved underground parties and is a regular guest at local institutions like Coney Island Reggae On The Boardwalk. She is featured in the beloved photo book Dust & Grooves: Further Adventures In Record Collecting. Follow her and all upcoming events on Instagram @graceofspades or drop your email below.
